Stronvar Aerospace Announces Appointment of Kate Collins as Chief Legal Officer and Ed Coates as Chief Strategy Officer and Head of M&A; Electro Methods Inc announces the appointment of Mike Rome as VP Finance

Recently established Stronvar Aerospace is pleased to announce the appointments of Kate Collins as Chief Legal Officer and Ed Coates as Chief Strategy Officer and Head of M&A. These leadership additions follow the successful completion of the company’s first acquisition of Electro Methods Inc in February 2025. At Electro Methods Inc we have also expanded the team to include Mike Rome as Vice President, Finance.

Kate Collins possesses extensive legal experience within the aerospace sector. She previously held the position of General Counsel at CIRCOR International, having previously served in a similar capacity at MB Aerospace from 2016 to 2023. Prior to that she served as Assistant Counsel at United Technologies Corporation, Pratt & Whitney Division. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Boston College, a Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law and a MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Ed Coates joins Stronvar Aerospace having previously served as Global Vice President of Strategy and M&A at Barnes Aerospace. Further, from 2008 to 2023, Coates had an extensive career as Head of Corporate Finance & Development at MB Aerospace where Ed worked on nine completed acquisitions through three phases of private equity investment.  He also has past experience at KPMG in financial advisory roles.

Mike Rome has extensive experience in financial leadership and control roles, most recently serving with Triumph Group as their Senior Director Finance for the Gears Division. Prior to that Mike was Finance Director (Michigan) at MB Aerospace. Mike graduated with a BS in Finance from Oakland University and holds a Masters of Business Administration from University of Detroit Mercy.
